Web Developer
Dubai based

The purpose of this position is to manage and develop data-driven web applications effectively and accurately.

Major Responsibilities

    * Understanding of technical and functional product requirements.
    * Assists in building database/table design.
    * Designs, codes, tests and document technical solutions.
    * Identifies system deficiencies and recommends solutions if any
    * Debugging and enhancing existing products
    * Leads a small team of developers
    * Enforces development deadlines and schedules between team members
    * Understands the necessity of and contributes to coding standards
    * Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively
    * Involvement in projects as required by the Line Manager.
    * Attending to internal and external end users of the platform

Skills

    * University/College degree of BS in Computer Science or equivalent required.
    * Critical to have at least 2 years experience in web development (ColdFusion 7 or higher is a must)
    * Knowledgeable of complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    * Possess strong understanding of industry standard applications/technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Cross-browser compatibilities, Flash, FLEX and Web 2.0 technologies
    * Understand at least basic relational database concepts
    * Can read and understand XML schemas as well as integration of XSL
    * Understand the importance of documentation and coding standards
    * Good communication skills in English are essential, in both written and oral form
    * Experience in Objective Oriented Programming Languages preferred
    * Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a multi-national environment.
    * Strong computer skills, with attention to detail and experience with different operating systems and networking.
