A LEADING SHIPYARD IN THE UAE REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING PERSONNEL FOR AJMAN JOBS


Ship Repair Superintendent

Candidates with Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in ship repairs and offshore rig repairs. Candidates should have prior experience in planning and control of production schedules, manpower and materials. Supervision of work and liaise with customers & classifi cation society surveyors.

Maintenance Superintendent

Candidates with Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in overhauling, repairing & maintenance of engines, machinery, trucks, cranes, air compressors, forklifts, winches, etc., to carry out maintenance program and troubleshooting and improvement of plant & machinery in the shipyard and safety systems.

Commercial Officer

Candidates with Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture, with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in estimation / tendering, planning and control of production schedule, liaison with customers and quantity surveyors.

Safety Officer

Candidates with Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Fire & Safety / Electrical / Chemical/ Mechanical), with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in fi refi ghting and loss prevention techniques, preferably in the shipbuilding / ship repair industry.

QA/QC Engineer

Candidates with Degree / Diploma in Naval Architecture / Marine / Mechanical Engineering, with ASNT Level II certifi cate in RT, UT, MPI and DPI, and a minimum 3 years relevant experience in QC supervision and QA documentation. Knowledge of class rules, welding codes and material grades is a must.

Driver
Candidates with valid UAE heavy duty driving license and 3 years experience within the UAE.

Watchman
Candidates with 3 years experience. Should be able to read, write and speak in English and knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.

Tradesmen
(Fabricators, Welders, Pipe Fitters, Mechanical Fitters, Machinists, Blasters / Painters, Carpenters and Electricians) Candidates with relevant qualifi cations and minimum 3 years experience in shipyard / heavy steel fabrication may apply.
