Job Summary:
•?Operate, monitor, measure, and attain Team’s Data Centers Service Level Commitments, and maintain facility appearance and integrity, especially during assigned shift.
Also, responsible for providing assistance to customers and projects, as such situations arise.

Major Accountabilities:
• Monitor systems and database activities and report any problems to the Concerned system administrator in order to perform the necessary action
• Implement operational systems and data center security policies
• Implement preset operational standards and procedures
• Manage on-site and off-site backup media
• Maintain housekeeping of the computer rooms and devices
• Prepare the data center rooms for installation of new servers (i.e. site Preparation)
• Monitor the data center environment (e.g. temperature, humidity, and power controls)
• Good communication skills both verbal and mail communication and ability to work with users at all levels in an organization
• Should have Sound knowledge of structure Cabling experience as Fiber Optic and UTP Technician
• Splice of Every type, Mechanical as well fusion splice.
• Splicing every type of fiber with different tools.
• Supervised cable splicing and fiber acceptance testing.
• Troubleshooting, connectivity issues by testing identifying, re-terminating lose and wrong terminated pairs.
• Should have knowledge of server Hardware (SUN (X Series, TSeries Blade Servers & HP)
• Prepare accurate and complete manual operational log
• Provide ad-hoc support during preparation and implementation of projects within area of responsibility
• Build up a knowledge base for the team
• Conduct the job according to quality and safety procedures, work instructions, operational standards, site rules, and SLAs
• Report system bugs to the responsible support function or vendor
• Maintain IT Assets Inventory Database (i.e. asset locations, configurations, assignments, etc.) up-to-date within area of responsibility
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure all hardware/systems free of errors and in healthy condition and to update IT asset inventory database when necessary
• Escalate any risks and issues to the management

Academic Requirements/ Licenses:

• Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent, or
• Diploma in Computer Networks or equivalent
