Due to continuing expansion and success in the marketplace, GLNS is seeking to recruit qualifi ed professionals:

Senior Service Engineer – Support and supervise service engineers and technicians for deployed repairs andmaintenance on naval vessels. Working knowledge of shipboard machinery, equipment, piping systems, propulsion system, electrical systems and navigation systems with a minimum ten years experience. Technical Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Senior ILS Engineer – Support and supervise team efforts for the development and implementation of Integrated Logistics Support and Training requirements for a number of naval shipbuilding and through-life support programs. Bachelor’s Degree holder in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or equivalent. Working knowledge of maintenance planning, computerized Maintenance Management Systems (MMS), shipboard machinery, equipment, piping systems, propulsion system, electrical systems and navigation systems, with minimum ten years experience.

ILS Engineer – Responsibilities for logistics and maintenance of naval vessels. Bachelor’s Degree in Naval
Architecture, Marine Engineering or equivalent. Working knowledge of maintenance planning, computerized
Maintenance Management Systems (MMS), shipboard machinery, equipment, piping systems, propulsion systems, electrical systems and navigation systems, with minimum fi ve years experience.

Bid & Proposal Engineer – Develop estimates, bids and proposals for logistics, maintenance and repair of
projects. Minimum 5 years experience as an Estimator in ship repair / shipbuilding facility; have knowledge of
through-life support service and outsourcing projects. Experience in project budgeting and cost control measures. Must have excellent communication skills, with good command over spoken and written English. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or an equivalent certifi cate in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering orMechanical Engineering.

Procurement Specialist – Materials sourcing in South East Asia, Far East & West Europe. Strong RFQ preparation, negotiation, cost analysis and evaluation a skills required. Knowledge of ship repair / materials & practices. Fluency in commercial terms (T&Cs, LOCs, INCOTERMS, Euronorms) and technical standards (DIN, EU, JIS, ASTM, ASME). Minimum ten years experience in buying in the ship repair or marine industry, with minimum fi ve years in a senior role. Business (Materials Management) and/or Engineering degree holders preferred. e-Commerce experience is a plus.

Service Coordinator / Planner – Develop planning packages and coordinate with service engineers and
supervisors to support deployed maintenance and repairs. Assist service engineers and supervisors in the
scheduling of jobs based on the availability of ships and materials. Track and expedite purchased materials.
Coordinate transportation requirements for staff and materials. Provide administrative support to service engineers. Minimum 5 years related experience with a Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Business Administration or equivalent.

Materials Expeditor – Responsible for expediting and timely delivery of goods and services at all stages
within the supply chain cycle to a known schedule of requirements. Capable of developing proactive relationships across a diverse supply chain. Have a good understanding of dealing with and managing overseas suppliers including appropriate shipping methods and regulations to enable timely deliveries at minimal cost. An effective communicator at all levels both internally and externally, capable of articulating the company position at all times regarding materials delivery and schedule. Should have a Degree in Supply Chain or related fi elds, good knowledge of the UAE market and a valid UAE driver’s license.

Arab Secretary – Respond to queries from customers. Prepare Arabic forms for submittal to various government agencies and gate pass application to customer facilities. Follow up and expedite submittals to various government agencies. Translate and type various proposal documents such as executive summaries, commercial terms and contracts, various public relations documents such as press releases and brochures, from English into Arabic and vice versa. Provide general administrative and clerical support. Diploma in Administration or other related courses and with a valid UAE driver’s license preferred.

Secretary / Clerk – Administrative and secretarial support for various departments. Good written and verbal
English communication skills. Computer skills including Word, Excel and company business applications. High
school diploma and diploma holder in a secretarial course or business school with fi ve years experience.
