Construction Site Engineer for UAE

Our Company is one of the leading distributor of high-end fashion brands in UAE & GCC. As part of our expansion, we urgently need a SITE ENGINEER with solid background in construction/execution of retail shop & restaurants. Someone who can handle the ff. responsibility :

• Coordinates the works in project without the execution team
• Project engineering experience including analysis, design and internal finishing
• Arrange (together with Purchasing Department in ordering direct purchasing materials (floor, lamps, etc)
• Setting out (marking the position of structures) and levelling the site;
• Surveying the site;
• Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work;
• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant for use in the construction;
• Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;
• Liaising with any consultants, sub-contractors, supervisor, planners, quantity surveyor and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and monitoring the work of any subcontractors;
• Writing detailed reports;
• Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site, and ensuring that regulations are adhered to;
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise.
• Manages the activities related to Permits and Municipality approvals
• Monitors progress and feedback it to Project Development Director

Skills

• Have a strong understanding of building structures, their stability and load transfer systems and be able to analyse them appropriately   according to project stage and complexity.
• Competent in the design of foundation and retaining structures.
• Should be able to independently initiate technically acceptable concept and scheme designs meet the requirements of other disciplines
• Commercially aware and have a flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility accepted
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Able to use own initiative, confident decision maker and able to motivate self and others
• Good interpersonal skills
• Able to plan workload efficiently and meet deadlines
• At least 5 years experience in the same capacity, required
